This series of 8 different paintings resulted as I pondered on the meaning of ‘A true fast’. The settings are all based on observations of Moroccan culture.
We often judge or understand wrongly when we look at something. We need to know the story, for that we need to be patient and to hear.
Every picture will suggest a story, with associated judgements or suppositions. I know mine. Take time to explore yours.
Each painting in this collection is 6 by 9.5 inches - £13.42
Originals are watercolour on paper.
Born in Belfast, Gail was an Art Therapist and painter.
She loved to see the world through a creative lens, and when she painted, her constant drive was to explore light and colour and how to communicate non-verbally, especially when using an abstract form.
She and her family lived in Morocco for 20 years, France for six, and seven years in the Kurdish region of Iraq. You will see these influences in her subject matter.
